Signs of Diabetes

Do you know the most common symptoms and signs of diabetes?

There are some classic signs of diabetes that can help tip you off that maybe you should seek a formal diagnosis. However, many signs and symptoms go unnoticed because they may be mild or because you may be used to living with the condition and have dismissed it as "normal". But denial is not a cure! Know the symptoms and recognize the signs.

If you exhibit two or more of these symptoms or signs of diabetes, you may be diabetic, or at least Pre-diabetic (blood sugar levels higher than normal, but not high enough for a diabetes diagnosis).

Remember, the earlier diabetes is detected and addressed, the better your chances of reversing the condition and avoiding the disease's devastating complications.

After all, there's convincing evidence that full-blown diabetes can be treated and reversed through lifestyle changes (diet, nutrition, exercise, etc). Imagine the power of prevention!

In fact, when you reduce or eliminate as many risk factors for diabetes as you can by following sound dietary, lifestyle and nutritional supplementation strategies, you'll GREATLY reduce the likelihood that you will ever develop diabetes at all!

So, before we can reduce the risk factors, we first need to know what they are.

The more of these factors you have, the higher your risk for type 2 diabetes.

But let's get real for a moment. If you already know your body struggles with sugar, that alone is a strong warning that you are at risk for diabetes! Don't ignore the sugar cravings, the high-highs after sugary snacks and the terrible crashes shortly thereafter, or the unquenchable thirst -- your body is trying to tell you something!

The question is, are you listening? Are you still searching the heavens (or your snack drawer) for yet more signs of diabetes?
